Video works best when it evokes certain emotions. Only then is the viewer likely to remember or share the video, or act on the message contained within it.
This video, produced by a Thai life insurance company (yes, it’s an advert), is a beautifully told and filmed story about the power of selflessness. Without being too sentimental it makes you feel emotional and without selling any products directly, it creates a certain (hopefully positive) response to a specific brand.
I only wish more brands had the courage to tell stories the way Thai Life did. Watch it. You may need a tissue though.
